To create the school extension in a historical context, AAVP Architecture looked to the typology of the farmhouse.
The new building speaks the same language as the older ones but has a higher level of abstraction. It looks as if it has been modelled on a child’s drawing: a simple volume with a pointed roof, big, deep-set windows and brightly coloured playrooms.
The addition of curtains behind the large windows strengthens the suggestion of the fantasy world of a child’s drawing.
