Dan Hisel projected and built himself this sauna located in a forest near the Saranac River gorge in upstate New York.
The outer shell is completely clad in mirror panels and the path leading to in is positioned diagonally so that no person approaching the building is reflected. The sauna is built up against a cliff, and the wall of rock forms one interior wall of the sauna.
Six meter below the sauna the river coils into a deep and powerful whirlpool, spinning reflections of sunlight back up on the rocks around it and the sauna above it.
